Most women with diabetes can and do have healthy pregnancies

Pregnancy can present some particular challenges for women with diabetes. Whether you have just been diagnosed with gestational diabetes, or you have been living with diabetes for many years, a pregnancy can stimulate new emotions. Be assured that most women with diabetes can and do have healthy pregnancies.

For optimum health of a the pregnant woman and her developing baby, it is important that every woman with diabetes consult an endocrinologist prior to attempting to become pregnant.
